At Work in Our Community

We have a number of programs at work in our community.  These outreach activities include helping groups that provide transitional housing and shelters for the homeless, building wheelchair ramps for those in need, and providing scholarships and training for the residential construction industry trades. Through our Built Green program we promote environmentally friendly building practices and products.  In all our outreach endeavors our goal is to give back to our community and to help keep the Puget Sound one of the country's most desirable places to live.

Master Builders Care Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. The foundation provides building resources and expertise to nonprofit service organizations dedicated to housing individuals and families in need. MBCF has three primary community service programs: HomeAid Master Builders Care, Rampathon and Painting a Better Tomorrow.

Master Builders Career Connection, a nonprofit organization of the Master Builders Association, is dedicated to making connections between workers and residential construction companies by promoting the great opportunities in our industry, preparing students to enter the workforce, and recruiting qualified individuals into residential construction. Our programs include, Charlie's House and Training and Retraining Classes.

Built Green is an environmentally friendly green building certification program created for Puget Sound area homebuyers and those remodeling their homes, Built Green is designed for residents who want to preserve the health of our Northwest environment. In partnership with King County and Snohomish counties, we established Built Green to provide consumers with an easy-to-understand rating system that quantifies environmentally friendly building practices.
