MBA Remodelers Council

Remodelers Council LogoThe Remodelers Council of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties was founded in 1954, and is proud to be the oldest Remodelers Council in the nation.

Our council educates consumers, recognizes achievements, participates in legislative and regulatory issues, provides industry information and offers networking opportunities for companies involved in residential remodeling. We also offer many events and services that benefit the public. In addition to the Remodeled Homes Tour, each May members of theRemodelers Council build wheelchair ramps for disabled citizens during our annual Rampathon. In June we hold the Remodeling Excellence (REX) Awards where we recognize top local remodelers. We also teach seminars and have a booth at the Seattle Home Shows in October and February where we provide information, expert tips and advice on all aspects of remodeling.

We're here to help you create the home of your dreams! Why hire a professional remodeler? Hiring a professional remodeler means you'll be working as a team with someone who has years of experience in the industry. This professional contractor has experience in projects like yours, knows about the latest products on the market and takes pride in his or her craft.

When you work with an experienced remodeler, you can be confident the person you've hired has extensive industry knowledge and may have earned a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) certification. The CGR designation is conferred by the National Association of Home Builders on professional remodelers who have completed a rigorous course of study and testing. CGRs must continue their education in order to retain their certification.

A quality remodeling company also helps you stay within your budget and maintain an organized project. Remodelers are used to working in occupied homes and act accordingly. This makes the project more pleasant for everyone.

The state of Washington requires that all remodelers be registered, bonded and insured. When you hire a remodeler affiliated with the Master Builders Association, you'll find yourself working with a
top-notch professional.

The Value of Remodeling

Updating your home will add value, but deciding to do a remodel should not be totally based on an appraisal or the resale value of the home. You also need to consider the personal satisfaction or pleasure the project will bring you.
